Silk Bedding Care Instructions:

 

1. Silk-filled Duvets:
 - The duvet must always be used with a removable duvet cover;
 - The duvet must be aired, without its cover, 2-3 times a year for approximately two hours;
 - Ideally the duvet should not be shaken, but if necessary, must be shaken very gently;
 - The duvet must NEVER be machine washed, hand washed, wrung or tumble dried;
 - Spot cleaning can be done by using a non-biological detergent suitable for washing silk;
 - Professionally laundered (make sure the cleaner knows this is silk filled duvet).

2. Cot bed silk duvets:
Generally, the above rules should apply for the cot bed silk duvet.  However, if  necessary, it can be hand or machine (30 degree) washed using washing liquid recommended for silk and wool, and then dry it naturally, cool ironing. 

 

 

3. Silk-filled pillows:
Professionally laundered only, or spot clean if necessary, cool ironing.

4. Silk Pillowcases: Hand wash using luke warm water and washing liquid recommended for silk and wool, or washing machine setting at 30 degrees, cool ironing.

 

5. Silk Blankets:

Professionally laundered, or spot clean if necessary, or hand wash using luke warm water and washing liquid recommended for silk and wool, or washing machine setting at 30 degrees, cool ironing.
